This series was developed at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in an effort to support your at-home practice. Introductory alignment and a spectrum of modifications are designed to meet you where you are at. Please remember to move with your breath, listen to your body, and refrain from any postures or movements which bring you pain.

*Please consult your physician before engaging in these classes. Participation is at your own risk.

Week 1

warm up and sun salutations

This class in intended for those who are new to yoga or are looking to slow down and gain a deeper understanding of postures and alignment. We begin by connecting with our breath and warming up the joints. We then find alignment in both surya namaskar (sun salutation) A and B before closing in savasana.

Week 2

strength and balance postures

This class builds off of week one. We begin with breath, warm ups, and sun salutations, followed by strength-building poses and standing balance postures. The class will end in savasana.

If you’re new to yoga, I recommend checking out the first video for a deeper understanding before trying this class.

Week 3

nourishing cool down

This practice offers some more advanced modifications for those of you who are looking to build on your existing yoga practice. As always, please listen to your body and know your own limits.

If you’re new to yoga, I recommend tuning in to the first two videos for an introduction to breath and alignment before trying this class.

Week 4

sustaining progress

This class incorporates all of the elements we have covered over the past 3 weeks to build a cohesive, hour-long practice. Modifications will be offered throughout to allow something for everyone, no matter where you are at in your yoga practice.

Week 5

building strength

This class will focus on building strength throughout the entire body. Modifications will be offered to support a variety of practice levels. This class is a great way to continue caring for our physical selves throughout this unique chapter in time.

Week 6

creating space

This class offers deep, slow stretches to get into the muscle fibers and undo some of the tension built up from stressors over time. The aim is to target places in the body where we are holding stress amidst the current pandemic and allow the opportunity to release it in a healthy way.
